Founder Elise Ottaway created Balancing Bodies to empower and educate as many people as possible that happy is the new healthy. After going through all the highs and lows of her own health and wellness journey, Elise was driven to help others learn, grow and discover the path to a happier and healthier life like she did. Elise’s passion for holistic health and wellness led her to working in the health and wellness industry for many years in a variety of areas. Along the way she has become a qualified Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach, Raw Chef and Yoga Teacher. She has done everything from working with clients one on one, to conducting online courses, running her own health retreats, being a guest speaker at many health and wellness events, running her own Happy is Healthy expo, creating and running her own Raw Café, working full time as a yoga teacher, and much more. Her passion for health and wellness began through her own journey.

























There is so much mis-information which makes it so hard for the average person to have any idea where to begin or what to do. So many people are lost and have given up hope. This is why Balancing Bodies has made it our mission to change social standards and educate and help as many people as possible by offering an easily relatable source of information to help anyone begin their wellness journey. “I was overweight, unhappy and unhealthy and decided that I needed to make some changes in my life. I had struggled with my weight all my life – from starving myself to binging, I was constantly in a mental battle about my body image. My weight loss and wellness journey most definitely wasn’t a walk in the park. Despite trying every ‘diet’ under the sun the weight just wouldn't budge. I sought the help of many doctors and natural health practitioners and baffled them with my lack of results – I was a mystery.
